At Tranquil Minds Psychiatry, we believe that health includes a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being. We strive to promote a holistic approach to health by offering services that address all aspects of wellness and collaborate with other professionals to ensure you can be the best person you are meant to be.
A very brief phone conversation for you to ask questions and determine if my services are what you are looking for. Due to other appointments, this will be kept to a strict 15-minute time frame.
An initial evaluation with a provider involves a medical history review, physical examination, and may include diagnostic or laboratory testing. A second appointment may be necessary to finish up the evaluation due to time constraints. I may also want to request records from previous providers or obtain consent to talk to friends or family members to further clarify information. Once the initial evaluation is complete, we will discuss the treatment plan, that we both agree with. This is often a 45 to 60-minute appointment.
A follow-up visit (in-person or online) involves checking the progress of the patient's treatment plan, assessing any new symptoms or concerns, and adjusting the treatment plan accordingly to ensure optimal health outcomes. These visits are generally much shorter in duration and allow for a brief check in with some talk therapy. Typically, a 25-minute appointment.
A medication refill appointment with a provider typically involves a brief review of his/her existing patient's medical history, confirming the need for the medication refill, and issuing a new prescription. It may also involve evaluating any side effects or concerns related to the medication and ensuring that the treatment plan is still appropriate for the patient's needs. This is often a 15- minute appointment.
A collaborative and confidential talk therapy that helps individuals explore and understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It aims to promote mental well-being, address challenges, and develop coping strategies for a healthier and more fulfilling life. This is generally a 45-minute appointment.
This is either an in-person or online appointment to allow time to complete miscellaneous paperwork that clients may have such as Emotional Support Animal (ESA) requests, work compensation paperwork, disability paperwork, school requests, and anything else that may require the client's feedback and input. This is generally a 25-minute appointment.
